The Ministry of Defense on Tuesday announced the extension of the deadline for registration of candidates for the positions of soldiers and graduates by profession until March 8. According to News.ro, there were 5,093 seats available in this series.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the recruitment and selection process of military personnel and graduates of professions is carried out according to the following calendar:

– registration of candidates: February 12 – March 8;

– selection of candidates: February 19 – March 15;

– medical examination in military sanitary units: February 26 – March 22;

– deadline for preparation of candidate documents: April 3.

For this series, 5,093 places were entered in the recruitment plan in 41 districts of the country and in the city of Bucharest.

Information on the professional offer, conditions of recruitment, selection and distribution can be obtained directly from the military units to which candidates are selected or from the information office at the place of residence.

MApN, however, presented the general conditions of employment and criteria that must be met by people who choose the profession of a military serviceman/occupational category in the activity:

a) have Romanian citizenship and have lived in Romania for at least six months (at the beginning of the academic year/course/study program);

b) not be convicted of any crime against humanity, against the state or authority, for corruption, for service or in connection with service, which obstructs the administration of justice, for forgery of documents or for a crime committed with intent, which makes it is incompatible with performing active military service or attending courses at a military higher school, except in cases of rehabilitation, amnesty after a conviction or decriminalization of an act;

c) not be a member of political parties, formations or organizations, and if he is a member, undertake in writing to renounce this capacity after entering a military training unit/institution or training/training program;

d) not to be a member of organizations prohibited by Romanian law and not to be a member of organizations incompatible with the rules, activities and powers characteristic of the military profession;

e) not to belong to cults or religious associations/groups that violate the norms of maintaining public order, violate the norms of morality or influence the performance of the military profession;

f) not be a sole partner or participate directly in the administration or management of organizations or commercial associations, except as provided by law, and, if he is in one of these situations, undertake in writing that upon admission to the program he will refuse from this quality;

i) for female candidates – declare in writing that she assumes all risks in case she is pregnant/in labor during the selection tests;

j) expresses his consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 190/2018 on measures to implement Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and its repeal of Directive 95/46/CE (General Data Protection Regulation data).

In addition, the specific criteria for the recruitment of candidates for the training of soldiers and graduates of professions are as follows:

a) to be at least 18 years old on the date of the start of the training program and no more than 45 years of age on the date of completion of the training program;

b) to have completed at least the first two years of secondary school, in accordance with the conditions stipulated by the Law on Pre-University Education no. 198/2023 as amended;

c) have a valid driver’s license of category B and C – candidates who choose “automobile” weapons and/or military specialties that require driving special automobile equipment from “genius” weapons;

d) declare in writing that at the beginning of the training program he renounces a previously obtained military rank as a fixed-term military, contract military, professional or voluntary rank or, depending on the circumstances, a rank obtained after completion of training. at least one year of training for the training of military personnel in military educational institutions/units, if the relevant training has not been completed;

e) to be graduates of higher education or higher education with a specialized license, certificate/diploma of graduation from an educational institution – candidates who choose the profession of a military serviceman/professional grade of “aviation” weapons, military specialty. “flight attendant – paramedic”;

f) expresses his consent in writing to the inspection for the purpose of providing access to classified information in accordance with the law and fills out the main form – personal data, given in appendix no. 15 to the National Standards for the Protection of Secret Information in Romania, approved by Government Resolution no. 585/2002 with subsequent changes and additions.
