Even if this year started perfectly, with four consecutive victories, Rapid Bucharest has reasons to worry after the sanctions received from the FRF Disciplinary Commission.

60,000 lei fine for Rapid after incidents in the game with Ocellul Galats

Giulesti fans are known for the heated atmosphere they create at every home match, but their displays have not gone unnoticed by the FRF.

In the match against Ocellul Galats, which Rapid won 2-1, Peluza Nord put on a pyrotechnic show in the first quarter of an hour, causing the referee to stop the game for several minutes.

The incidents were reviewed by the FRF Disciplinary Commission, which decided to fine the club 60,000 lei.

“FC Rapid 1923 vs. ACS SC Oțelul Galati – Incidents – According to Art. 82.1 and 3.a and c, related to Art. 83.2.d, a sports fine of 60,000 lei was imposed on FC Rapid 1923,” LPF reports.

Since this is not the first offense, there may be even tougher sanctions in the future, including playing matches at home without spectators.
