
On Tuesday, around 1:30 p.m., a train traveling on the Craiova-Pitesti route and a truck were involved in a train accident in Olt. The train involved in the accident was taken out of service and the passengers were picked up by the next train, which was due to pass through the station in the commune of Belteni in Ault, near which the incident took place.
The only casualty was the engine driver.
- “From the first information sent by the railway personnel who arrived at the scene, the driver of the vehicle was injured as a result of the impact between the vehicle and the trailer, and the gasket was damaged, which will be removed to the Bălteni Olt station after the completion of the investigation carried out by the competent authorities.
- Train R 9266 (Krajova – Pitesti) will be withdrawn from traffic, and the passengers will be picked up by the next train traveling along the same route,” said Oana Chiz, spokeswoman of the National Railway Company, shortly after the accident.
