PAOK are top of the Greek league and the Thessaloniki club announced on Friday that coach Rezvan Lucescu has extended his contract until the summer of 2027.

Rezvan Lucescu extended his contract with PAOK Thessaloniki

Rezvan Lucescu (will turn 55 on February 17) is in his second term at PAOK Thessaloniki (from 2021). The former coach of Romania also coached this team between 2017 and 2019.

“Some relationships go beyond sports. Some relationships last a lifetime. PAOK announces the extension of Rezvan Lucescu’s contract until June 30, 2027.

He’s gone (not in 2019), but his heart has always been here. He came back and continued to make history. He broke all records, both at team and individual level, reached the quarter-finals of the European competition and created another impressive PAOK team.

The desire to continue together has long been mutual. Official confirmation was received at the Tumba stadium today. Rezvan Lucescu has linked his future with the club as a coach until June 2027,” says the website of the PAOK Thessaloniki club.

  • Subsequently, Rezvan Lucescu helped PAOK win the Greek Championship (2019), the Greek Cup (2018 and 2019) and qualify for the quarter-finals of the Conference League (2021/22).
