The footballer was sentenced to a year and a half in prison after attacking his cousin with a knife in 2020, and will also have to pay €7,000 in compensation. Promes did not attend any meeting.
On February 14, the former Oranje player will be tried in another case. He will be responsible for charges of involvement in the importation of cocaine in particularly large quantities. Last month, the Dutch prosecutor’s office asked for 9 years in prison.
Promes has been registered with Spartak Moscow since 2021, his contract runs until the summer of 2024, writes News.ro.
