“Mountain rescuers of the Rescue Service of the Gorzh County Council, who were on duty at the Ranka rescue base, found a couple of yellow-headed aussel birds in a state of severe hypothermia at night due to frost. Considering that there was still a chance of survival, they were given first aid, trying to gradually restore their body temperature, then, when they began to recover, they were hydrated and fed. The two baby birds were kept at the rescue base for another day, allowed to visit it on land and in flight to be with the mountain rescuers and see what a day is like in the height of the tourist season, then, having fully recovered, they were released into the wild.” – representatives of Salvamont Romania said on their Facebook page, Agerpres reports.
