Jack Begert’s Little Death, an addiction story set in Los Angeles, won the NEXT Innovation Award.

This year’s audience prize from the festival – for films from all sections – went to the play “Daughters”, presented in the section of American documentaries, a chronicle of the coming of age of four girls while their parents are serving sentences in prison.

Sean Wang’s Didi won the American Feature Film Audience Award, while the American Documentary Film Award went to Daughters and the International Documentary Film Award went to the Norwegian film Ibelin » directed by Benjamin Rhee.

This year’s Audience Award in the international feature film category went to Girls Will Be Girls, directed by Shuchi Talati, set in an online school for girls in the Himalayas.
