The Ministry of Finance and ANAF seem to be full of people connected to the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI). Following the case of Dragoš-Ionuc Benescu, who became ANAF Secretary General, Liliana Angel was also appointed, according to an order published in the Official Gazette.

Over time, it was written about her in the press that she was a former employee of the Research Institute. According to one of her wealth declarations, she worked for UM0929, which is part of the Romanian Intelligence Service.

The former Minister of the USSR, Christian Guinea, even accused Angel that she is a colonel of the Research Institute, and that she was brought to MIPE last year through organized competitions.
