The decision was made after a working meeting of the President of the National Authority for the Protection of Consumer Rights (ANPC), Horia Constantinescu, with the head of the Department of Emergency Situations (DSU), Raed Arafat, and other specialists of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. “Taking into account the powers granted by law to each involved institution, it was agreed to create an information flow between the county emergency inspectorates and the regional commissariats for the protection of consumer rights in such a way that ANPC commissioners are in constant contact with the preventive structures of the GIP at the local level, and in the situation , when violations of fire safety rules are detected during the performance of their control duties, it is necessary to notify the prevention inspectors in real time in order to take legal measures. in connection with this,” said the press release of DSU.
Commissioners of the ANPC will be able to notify the Inspectorate of Emergency Situations when they detect violations that are within the competence of the ISU.
