
Forecasters have extended their rainfall and wind forecast for Friday, with several areas expected to receive a layer of snow this weekend. The weather is also getting significantly colder.
According to the GU NP, by Saturday until 17:00 precipitation will pass in all regions, and in Muntenia and in the area of the Eastern Carpathians, it will be quantitatively moderate (10…15 l/m2 will accumulate and more than 20 l/sq.m will be isolated).
From the afternoon of Friday, January 19, it will rain in Banat, Krişani, Maramures, Transylvania and in the north of Moldova, which will turn into snow, and at night in the rest of the country, a layer of snow will be deposited.
On Saturday, snow will continue to fall in Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrudja, but overall it will be light in quantity. Temporarily, the wind will increase at a speed of 40…50 km/h, snow, blizzard, visibility will be low in all regions.
Also, meteorologists say that on Friday in the north of the country, and on Saturday in the rest of the country, it will get significantly colder.
