​Saudi Arabia league leaders Al Hilal have made another big signing this winter with the move of Brazilian defender Renan Lodi from Olympique Marseille.

Renan Lodi, the new player of “Al Hilal”

Al-Hilal dominate the Saudi Arabian Football League with a seven-point lead over Al-Nassr and 12 straight wins.

However, the team coached by Jorge Jesus continues to strengthen and Renan Lodi has landed in Riyadh.

The 25-year-old Brazilian defender, a former player of Atletico Madrid, signed a contract until 2027.

Lodi joined Olympique de Marseille in the summer and moved to Saudi Arabia for €23 million.

In football, which continues to demonstrate its financial prowess, the Riyadh-based club have invested €376m this season, a figure surpassed only by Chelsea (486) in world football, but higher than PSG (370), Tottenham (272) or City (241), reports Marca.

In an attempt to build a starting XI worthy of Europe’s best teams, Al Hilal paid €90m for Neymar, €60m for Malcom or €40m for Milinkovic-Savic.
