Hundreds of transporters are protesting on Sunday evening in the city of Constanta on several boulevards, accompanied by police crews and gendarmes, News.ro reports.

The convoy started from the city of Ovidiu, then moved along DN 3 to the municipality of Constanţa and continued along the Boulevard Aurela Vlaiku (ring road of the municipality of Constanţa). Both large-tonnage trucks and cars take part in the protest.

“At this time, the gendarmes and police of Konstanz provide dynamic measures of public order in an integrated system, taking into account the protests of farmers, transporters and people who transport people by taxi.

The convoy moves along the route of Ovidiu – DN 3 – Municipality of Constanta, Aurela Vlaicu Boulevard, Mangaliei Highway, Harman Arbore Street and back.

In this regard, a traffic restriction was established on the relevant route to ensure the safety of the participants of the movement and the protesters,” informed the representatives of the Gendarmerie Inspection of the Konstanz County.

Witnesses stated that the protestors stopped at the exit from the municipality towards Mangalia and would like to take a different route than the one that was originally set.
