In just 4 days, between 08.01-11.01.2024, at the Borş II, Giurgiu and Nădlac II checkpoints, GNM commissioners from the police stations of Bihor, Giurgiu and Arad counties did not allow 6 vehicles to enter the country.” , the representatives of the Environmental Guard reported on Friday evening, News.ro reports.

According to their data, 3 road trains with more than 41 tons of “humanitarian aid” in the form of used furniture were missing in Bihor.

The deliveries came from Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, and the destinations were from the counties of Oradea, Suceava and Bihor.

2 shipments with more than 43 tons of metal waste and paper and cardboard waste were rejected in Giurgiu. Deliveries arrived from Bulgaria.

In Arad, a shipment of more than 13 tons of non-ferrous metal waste was rejected, which came from the Czech Republic, and the recipient was from the Olt county.

“According to simple calculations, in just 4 days and only through 3 checkpoints, the commissioners of the National Environmental Guard banned the entry into the country of more than 97 tons of waste,” the Environmental Guard reported.
