
Israeli singer Idan Amedi, who also stars in the hit Netflix series “Fauda,” was seriously injured during Israeli army fighting in the central Gaza Strip and was airlifted Monday for emergency medical treatment, The Times of Israel and The Times of Israel. Jerusalem Post report.
Amedi’s father confirmed that he was injured, but told the Israeli news website Walla News that Idan’s life was not in danger.
Amedi, who joined the series Fauda during the second season to play the role of Sagi Tsur, a new undercover agent who joins Doron Cabiglio’s team. Amedi, who appeared in 36 episodes of Fauda, is also a famous singer in Israel who has released 5 albums since 2011.
According to Israeli media, he was taken to the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan around 4:00 p.m. Monday and immediately underwent surgery that lasted several hours.
Shortly before he was wounded, Amedi was interviewed in the Gaza Strip by an Israeli television channel, saying he was feeling “a little tired but fine.”
“It’s wonderful to see you here [în mijlocul luptelor din Gaza]. All of a sudden you look so clean I don’t know how to behave,” he joked to the Channel 12 crew.
On October 12, a day after the Israeli government announced the mobilization of 300,000 reservists, Amedi, dressed in military uniform, posted a video on the X social network in which he said, among other things:
