
Five people were injured in an accident on Saturday on the M5 motorway in Hungary near Kecskemet, emergency services said. MTI. Two victims are in serious condition, News.ro reports.
According to information received by MTI, a minibus with Romanian registration, which was traveling in the direction of Szeged and towing a trailer, left the road and overturned into a ditch. Both the minibus and the towed car overturned. There were seven passengers in the car.
Jozef Hangai, a spokesman for the regional rescue service, said two people were in a serious condition, one was seriously injured and two others were slightly injured after the accident.
According to his information, several ambulances were called to the scene, as well as rescue helicopters from Budayers and Sentesh.
The injured were taken to the hospital, and two more people were able to stay on the spot after the examination, Jozef Hangai added.
Due to the accident, the affected section of the M5 highway was completely closed for several hours and traffic was blocked.
