The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that he was “trolling” when he offered to trade Ukrainian prisoners of war in exchange for the lifting of sanctions on his family, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
- “(The United States of America – ed.) are only interested in their own interests, so I made a statement to show the true face of American politicians. In particular, I am ready to exchange these 20 Ukrainian prisoners of war for the lifting of sanctions against my dear mother Aimana Kadyrova, my daughters, children under 18 years old and my wife Mednaya Musaivna. All of them have absolutely nothing to do with politics. It is obvious that the States will not do this. But it would be interesting to hear their apology, if there is one. Scott Ritter, unlike some people, got this massive trolling right. As for the sanctions, they do not prevent us from living.”
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said the day before that if the lives of Ukrainian prisoners of war are important, then the West can cancel sanctions against his family, and then he will also release a number of soldiers, Ukrainian Pravda reports. with reference to the news agency of the Russian state news agency TASS and RIA Novosti.
“Mother, wife, daughters and grandchildren are not to blame. They never participated in political games. They didn’t say a word. I fought, I will fight… Put all you want against me, just don’t touch my family, mother. If the lives of these people are important to them, then let them change their soldiers [ridicarea – n.red.] sanctions,” Kadyrov said.
The head of the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reacted on Saturday to the proposal of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, to release 20 Ukrainian prisoners of war in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
“I am generally surprised by the statements that appear in the press. If a person wants to solve something, he knows how and to whom to turn. If he doesn’t know, someone will tell him. But believe me, he knows. And such statements in the press: “Remove the sanctions from my family and give me my horses,” which, by the way, are in another country, to me, it’s a little strange.”
