
Police handcuffed a 21-year-old man from Vikovu de Jos and took him to the police station after he refused to leave a line of cars outside a McDonald’s that was blocking traffic on the boulevard in the center of Suceava municipality, Suceava reports. News. The driver was also fined almost 6,000 lei and his driving license was suspended.
The incident took place on Monday evening in the McDonald’s area in the center of Suceava, where a line of cars waiting on the road left the restaurant’s parking lot and took the first lane of Ana Ipetescu Boulevard.
A police crew intervened to unblock traffic, but a young man driving a Mercedes with temporary number plates refused to leave the queue, insisting he wanted to wait to order food.
According to Știri Suceava, the police immobilized the young man and handcuffed him before taking him to the police station.
A 21-year-old driver from the commune of Vikovu de Jos received a fine of 5,945 lei for several violations, including blocking an intersection and failing to follow police instructions. He was also deprived of his driver’s license for 30 days for “disobeying the signals, instructions and orders of a traffic police officer during the performance of his official duties.”
