Two people were slightly injured Sunday in a knife attack by a Palestinian who was “neutralized” near an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, Israeli police and emergency services said, AFP reported.
The attack took place near Mishor Adumim, an industrial park in the large West Bank settlement of Maale Adumim, east of Jerusalem, the sources said.
The attacker was “neutralized”, the police reported, without specifying whether he died or was injured.
Emergency services said they treated two lightly wounded people, described by Israeli media as security guards, at the scene.
Violence in the occupied West Bank has increased sharply since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
Since then, at least 317 Palestinians have been killed by soldiers and, in some cases, Israeli settlers, according to the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health.
