The boarding house Ferma Dacilor in the city of Tohany in the city of Prahov completely burned down on Tuesday morning, as a result of the incident eight people died, one of them – the son of the owner of the boarding house Kornel Diniku. Seven bodies were identified, and the investigation could not find the eighth on the basis of DNA data.
The conducted investigations showed that the boarding house had been operating for years without a construction permit, without a fire safety permit, and without an operation permit. So far, only one resignation has been recorded – that of the head of ISU Prahova, an institution that in 2019 carried out several inspections of the boarding house without imposing fines, but only with warnings. Later, the head of the prevention inspection of ISU Prakhov was dismissed.
