Three people, including a 7-year-old child, were found dead in their home in Vaideen, most likely as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, Vilch authorities said on Monday, Agerpres reported.

According to representatives of the Vilch police, three were found unconscious, and despite the efforts of the medical team sent to the scene, they could not be saved.

“The police went to the scene and established the identities of the three victims, establishing that they are a 32-year-old man, a 26-year-old woman and a 7-year-old minor, all from the city of Vaideeni, probably poisoned with gas. The medical team of the SAJ Vâlcea also went to the scene, which, unfortunately, confirmed the death of three people,” Vâlcea police spokeswoman Loredana Sandu said.

The police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of premeditated murder.
