American actor Charlie Sheen was attacked by a gunman at his home in Malibu, Los Angeles police said. BBC.

The attack happened around 1:00 p.m. local time (21:00 GMT) on Wednesday, authorities said.

Police arrested Electra Schrock, 47, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, as well as use of force likely to cause serious bodily injury.

After that, medics were called to Mr. Sheen’s home, but he was not taken to the hospital.

Police have not said what the motive was or what weapon was used in the attack.

Schrock would be Charlie Sheen’s neighbor.

TMZ reports that Schrock tried to choke Sheen and tore his shirt after he answered the door.

Charlie Sheen starred in the sitcom “Two and a Half Men” for eight seasons until he fell out with the creator of the series.
