Directors Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach got married after 12 years of relationship and the birth of two children, DPA and Associated Press agencies reported, citing Agerpres.

Film director Chin and the director who signed Marriage story they linked their fates on Tuesday, after which they went together to Billy Joel’s concert at Madison Square Garden, Greta Gerwig was dressed in a suit with a skirt and a white jacket.

Page Six reported that Gerwig said backstage at the concert that they had just gotten married at City Hall in New York and that they were “both happy and celebrating.” TMZ published photos of the couple smiling while attending the concert.

Agents of the two directors who wrote the script together Chin, did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for additional information. They met on the set of the film “Greenberg” (2010), which Baumbach directed and also participated in writing the script.

Gerwig was part of the film’s cast alongside Ben Stiller. Baumbach and his then-wife, Jennifer Jason Lee, separated. Their breakup is said to have inspired the film’s script Marriage storywhich also starred Adam Driver.

Baumbach, 54, and Gerwig, 40, began dating in 2011 and reunited for the film Francis Hasince 2012, also directed by Baumbach. Gerwig co-wrote the script for this black-and-white comedy and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.

The two have collaborated before Mistress of America (2015) and TV Movie Correction. In 2022, Gerwig starred alongside Adam Driver in the horror comedy White noisewith a script signed by Baumbach.

The couple appeared on the red carpet at the Oscars and Golden Globes in 2018 while filming Lady Birdmade by Gerwig, was among the nominees.

In 2019, the couple had their first child, Harold, and this year, in March, Gerwig gave birth to another son.

2023 was a big year for Gerwig, who made history in Hollywood and beyond by becoming the first female director in film history to break the $1 billion mark at the box office with a film Chin.

Last week, Gerwig’s feature film broke multiple box office records for Warner Bros. and was released on streaming after a theatrical release in July.
