I cannot give you any prognosis now, he is in a critical condition, doctors cannot give a prognosis,” Mariana Negojce, spokesperson for the Tirgu Mures District Emergency Clinical Hospital, told News.ro.
Two other injured teenage girls were hospitalized in the Odorhei Secuiesk hospital. One had shoulder surgery, and the other was in a state of shock, without injuries, explained city hall spokeswoman Noemi Zorgo.
“Both are hospitalized, they are not in danger, fortunately, we are waiting for their full recovery before they can be discharged. One has been in surgery since yesterday evening, the other has no injuries, she was just in a state of shock. The girl was operated on in surgery, she has a shoulder injury. Firefighters, those from SMURD, ambulances, rescuers, firefighters from neighboring villages intervened there, and immediately after the collapse, even pedestrians in the area,” Noemi Zorgo told News.ro.
It will be recalled that on Monday evening, a part of the boarding school building of the Tamasi Aron secondary school in Odorheiu-Sekuesk collapsed, and three girls and a boy were buried under the rubble. The boy, who would have turned 18 on Christmas Day, was taken out about two and a half hours later and pronounced dead.
The Tamasi Aron Theoretical High School in Odorhei-Secuiesc, a former Roman Catholic high school, was built between 1909 and 1910. The building, located near the Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas in Odorhei-Secuiesk, is a historical monument. The boarding school was also built in 1910. The building belongs to the Roman Catholic archdiocese.
