He stated that he proposed to the Ministry of Health to regulate tests for students, as well as to test school toilet water for psychoactive substances, but these ideas were not implemented.

“I was a public promoter of testing. Unfortunately, it was not completed because it conflicts with the election capital, but we did not tell the police to check. I just said that the Romanian state at all levels is telling the people that they care about drugs,” says Sincu

He asks how does the state care about the drug problem if no one in the country can now get tested for psychoactive substances for free?

“If the policy of the state is truly preventive, then you should offer the opportunity to test people, as you do routine blood tests, so that there is a chance that these tests will be resolved. I proposed to the Ministry of Health to regulate the tests at least for students. When parents consider it necessary to test their child, the state should be able to regulate two, three or four tests per year,” Radu Tsinku said on Medika TV on Monday.

He noted that at present, examinations are carried out in hospitals only in the presence of acute intoxication.

“Let’s make it possible for parents, when they feel the need, to check their children, but provide them with NHSHU. Unfortunately, the offer did not materialize, and I am very sorry. She continued to speak. I understand that there are several issues, not only public and electoral perception, but also cost issues. After all, it is clear that there will be some additional costs that must somehow be covered from the budget,” says the doctor, who adds that the test costs about 140 lei.

He noted that there was another proposal to test toilet water in schools.

“Another suggestion is to check sewage in schools. Toilet water can be tested for psychoactive substances. why So that we can have an image of consumption in this school because local activities can be improved. It’s clear that if you have extremely high consumption, with a lot of substances, it means that something is going on at the school and that the safety of these children is at risk. And you will somehow be able to adapt your local school policies according to these tests. It was also not used. I hope that in the future we will be able to implement such a policy,” Radu Tsinku explained. (News.ro)
