According to News.ro, the City Hall of Timisoara rejected the project of modernization of the Public Park in Timisoara, because the developer did not fulfill the requirements of the municipality.

The Admissions Committee found that the alleys inside the park have problems with flatness, which contributes to the accumulation of water, and for the round benches “SOLE”, the builder inserted anchors into the ground instead of foundations so that they could be raised from the ground.

According to a press release from Timisoara City Hall on Wednesday, the reception committee also found that, in addition to the alleys, full of puddles and inappropriate benches, the vegetation is dry and in some places missing, it has not been replaced.

“Those who walk or passers-by suffer from poorly executed work. There are areas with alleys where puddles accumulate when it rains, some light poles are faulty, withered plants have not been replaced, and decorative bricks are cracked in several places on the decorative fountain. We used all the levers to get the executor to eliminate inappropriate work, but the naked eye can see what happened and how it worked.

We cannot accept inappropriate work. We keep a quality performance guarantee of about 250,000 lei. Teams of gardeners will start maintaining green spaces in the park as soon as possible,” said Vice Mayor Ruben Lackau.

Even in the case of the lighting poles, the contractor did not follow the project.

“The foundation has dimensions of 60×60 cm, the height of the pillar is 3.40 m, the metal part is wrapped in polyurethane foam, covered with a plastic cover. Three columns are missing a sleeve in the upper part,” the Timisoara City Hall reported.

For pergolas that had cracks, the developer chose a silicone coating, which is why ripples appeared, because they could not be sanded. In addition, the color does not match the shade of the wood.

“At the decorative fountain, the reception committee established that the water pressure is very low, and the decorative bricks are broken or broken in many places,” the quoted source added.

The final cost of the completed works is 5,220,069.74 lei without VAT, and the warranty period is 5 years, according to News.ro.
