
Otilia Androne is from Buzău, as is Elena Udrea, who nominated her for important political positions. So, Androne was an adviser and chief of staff of Elena Udrea during her last parliamentary mandate, in 2012-2016. Androne also joined the Popular Movement Party led by Traian Besescu.
In 2016, she ran on the PMP lists for the Local Council of Sector 6 and the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, and then for the post of deputy in the Chamber of Deputies, but without success. Androne remained in the system, also in the parliament, as a referent, then became the head of the group of advisors to the president of the Senate.
