Florin Maxim refused Dynamo: “I want to become famous in the coaching staff, but I’m in no hurry”

Korwinul are unbeaten since the beginning of October and are in 2nd place in Ligue 2 but are ineligible for promotion to the Super League.

Maksym explained that it was not the situation in the Dynamo standings (penultimate place, only 10 points) that forced him to refuse the offer, but the fact that he considers it an inappropriate moment in his career (42 years old) to accept such a challenge.

“Yes, that’s right, there were some discussions with people from Dynamo, but we didn’t progress because I said stop from the beginning. Since I arrived here in Hunedoara, I have promised that I will be fully involved in this project and I want to see it through to the end.

I feel very good here, I have the support of the administrative staff, the mayor has created all the conditions, so we are moving forward. It would be hard for me to refuse.

Frankly, it’s tempting for any coach to have that kind of interest, but now is not the time. I want to go step by step in this work. I want to make a name for myself in coaching, but I’m in no rush.

As for the situation in “Dynamo”, I was not afraid. To be honest, it was a difficult situation when I came to Corvinul, and the team was in League 3, it had a different name. But I knew what I wanted and made everything work well up to this point.

I thank the people at “Dynamo” for what they think of me, and I wish them to achieve their goals this season,” – Florin Maximquoted by DigiSport.
