The SANITAS trade unions announced on Wednesday that they have launched a process against the Romanian government, which has been joined by more than 75,000 people, News.ro reports.
“I started a process against the Romanian government. Almost 75,000 SANITAS members joined the initiative and approached us to file a lawsuit against the government,” SANITAS unions said on Wednesday.
They demand the full application of the Law on Budgetary Wages (Law 153/2017) for all SANITAS members belonging to all categories of health and social care workers.
“We started the procedures for more than two months, the local and district leaders of SANITAS collected the signatures, we talked to the bar association and the process started (…) We want to recover all the salary income that the government owes our members for the last three years”, – added the trade unions.
They specify that the non-application of the law applies to all categories of staff in the system: medical staff, non-medical staff (TESA), nurses, caregivers, stretcher bearers, contract staff or DSP civil servants, workers of all social support specialties.
