The value of exports of goods from Romania has increased 26 times from 1991 to the present. According to the data of the National Institute of Statistics, a year after the fall of communism, we exported products worth 3.5 billion euros.

Over the years, Romania has registered an exponential growth in exports, except for some difficult periods, such as the economic crisis of 2008 and the crisis caused by the pandemic. These events affected the global economy and reduced the growth rate of Romanian exports, but did not reverse the overall progress.

After more than 30 years from the Causist era, which some Romanians still look back on with nostalgia, ignoring real data and facts, in 2022 Romania exported goods worth almost 92 billion euros.

Among Romania’s most important trade partners are Germany, Italy, Hungary and France. These countries were the main destinations for Romanian exports, and in 2022 the value of exports to these countries reached 39 billion euros.

The constant increase in the value of exports in Romania shows the efforts made by Romanian companies in the development of products, as well as in the expansion of sales markets. The most exported cars, household appliances, as well as cars.
