The best Romanian football player in history, Gheorghe Hagi, wanted to send a congratulatory letter to the Romanian Football Federation on the occasion of the selection of the national team for the European Championship in Germany.
Gheorghe Hagi, praise of FRF, coach and players after Romania’s qualification
The King wanted to mark the performance of the tricolors with a message from his club Farul Constanta, in which he expressed his pride in the contribution of the players brought up by his club.
Hagi claims that his academy has always been aimed at training footballers who will eventually wear the jersey of the national team.
“Following the success that Romanian football has achieved in qualifying the national senior team for the 2024 European Championship to be held in Germany, Farul ConstanČ›a and the Gheorghe Haghi Academy send you their sincere congratulations for an excellent course and wish you success in the final tournament from next year.
On this occasion, we also send our congratulations to coach Edward Lordenescu for the way he managed to form a united group, for the performance of finishing this campaign unbeaten, and of course to the entire staff and everyone who contributed to this success.
The main goal of the Gheorghe Hagi Academy from the very beginning has been to grow and train young footballers in productive sports to have a chance that at some point they will even be able to wear the national team shirt.
We are proud that, thanks to the players trained in our club, we were able to contribute to this qualification of the first representative team for the EC in 2024, where Romania will have the opportunity to sign a new page in the history of Romanian football.
I have always believed that Romania does not lack talent, Romania has many valuable players who can offer us many incredible moments. We are glad that this generation has such a mentality to believe in their own strength, to always fight to the end. We have the conviction that we are all on the path we want, the belief that we can surpass the performance of past generations, and the courage that we can beat anyone.
Greetings, Romania! Gheorghe HAGHI”, says the letter published by the FRF.
Gique Hagi is the top scorer for the Romanian national team, along with Adrian Mutu, with 35 goals in 125 tackles.
