In the summer, “Rapid” made numerous transfers, and after the arrival of the Italian Cristiano Bergodi on the technical bench, the team’s game began to gradually change. Taking third place in the championship, Giulesti’s team extended the contract with one of the starting players.

Defender Paul Jakob has signed a contract with Rapid for another two years

Although he rarely caught the team during Adrian Mutu’s tenure, the coaching change has made Paul Jacob the undisputed starter alongside Sepunaru in the Rapid defence.

On Wednesday, the 27-year-old defender signed a two-year contract extension, which is due to take place next summer.

“I am very happy to have signed a contract extension with Rapid. I really want us to achieve important results together and manage to win trophies. I hope that in the summer we will be able to celebrate the victory in the championship.

The club trusted me and I think this contract shows that I have lived up to their trust. I will continue to make every effort to achieve our goals. Come on, Quick!” – said Paul Jacobfor the club’s official website.

Valued at €900,000, Jakob trained at the Hagi Academy and also played for Gaz Metan, FC Brasov, ASA Tirgu Mures, Dunarea Calarasi and Cindia Tirgovishte.

He arrived at Giulesti in 2022 and made 34 appearances, scoring five times.
