FCSB has sold players for big money in recent years, and the financier of the team turned down a big offer for one of the most trained footballers of the current season in the Romanian Super League.

Gigi Becali rejected Florinel Coman’s offer of 8.5 million euros

Florinel Coman is currently the most expensive player in FCSB club history.

FCSB paid Viitorul Constanța €3 million in August 2017 and since then the Romanian international has made 213 appearances, scoring 50 goals and providing 58 assists in the red and blue shirt.

Having reached the age of 25, Coman is now a key player for the Romanian runners-up, with 5 goals and 6 assists in 14 Romanian Superliga matches.

FCSB had previously received a big offer for the team’s star, but talks stalled after the red and blue boss demanded a huge sum.

“For Florinel, there were offers of 8 million, 8.5 million from an important team from Portugal, but the club increased, a much higher amount was asked. 10 million? Well, if he asked for that much, it turned out to be 15-17 million, God forbid, he also asked for Tavi Popescu, some incredible sums. Now if someone comes and gives 2-3 million, Gigi gives immediately.

Coman has a clause of 5 million but Gigi gives him I think 4 million as well. It was the same with Florin Tenase, he asked for 10-15 million for him, in the end he gave 3 million. Yes, Gigi already thought he was in Europe, and now no one is coming, maybe from Saudi Arabia, but we have few records there, we know coaches, but in more modest teams.” – said Giovanni Becali, reports Fanatik.
