Students at the police academy were treated to soup with worm larvae on Thursday, the Europol Union reported, publishing several photos of the meal the future officers received. The Europol Union later announced that emergency crews had been called to the facility for the third night in a row after several students complained of stomach pains, vomiting and dehydration.

00:20 Hours after the Europol trade union released images of the food the future officers received on Wednesday, rescue workers were called to the police academy after several students became ill, complaining of stomach pains and vomiting.

  • “This is the third night an ambulance has been called to the Police Academy!!!
  • Several students complained of abdominal pain, vomiting and dehydration. 3 days after the outbreak of infection in the “prestigious” university, the Ministry was unable to provide them with medical care at the Academy at least 24 hours a day.
  • Between construction debris, floods in rooms, rats gnawing eyelashes, and food with worms – this is how the training process of future police officers goes!
  • Shame on the leadership of the Police Academy!
  • Shame, MAI!” – wrote in the Europol Union.

  • “Humiliation, abuse, bullying and food similar to what was served in labor camps during the communist period. After two days during which dozens of students were admitted to the hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of food poisoning, the abuse of students, future police officers, continues at the Police Academy. They have worse conditions than those in prison.
  • In the menu received today, two days after the outbreak of the infection, the naked eye can see worm larvae in the soup or rotten meat with a strong smell. Not only has no one from the leadership of the ministry spoken out about the existing humiliation and bacteriological danger, but the bullying of students, who are offered “food” resembling side dishes, continues even now.
  • Perhaps now you will understand why Vice Prime Minister Preda was sold donuts about the “benefits” of the militarization of the Police Academy. In fact, the goal of those in the second line of MAI is to put a fist in the mouth of the students and stop the mess from coming to the surface,” the Union wrote on its Facebook page, along with several images of soup in which you can see worms .

The Europol trade union says it has notified all authorities with the relevant powers and hopes “this case will not be covered up like last autumn when students were crammed 16 at a time into a bedroom, worse than prisons, in unsanitary conditions”.

This week, 63 students at the Alexander Ioan Kuza Police Academy suffered food poisoning, some of whom were taken to hospital for treatment, but not hospitalized.

The Department of Health in Bucharest is conducting an epidemiological investigation, and the management of the academy ordered to check compliance with the rules of storage, processing, preparation and serving of food.
