As Hezbollah continues to carry out attacks in northern Israel, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warns that the terrorist group is “close to making a serious mistake” that will result in Beirut residents fleeing their homes, writes The Times of Israel.

“I tell the citizens of Lebanon that I already see the citizens of Gaza walking along the coast with white flags and heading south. Hezbollah is making mistakes and dragging Lebanon into war,” Gallant said during a visit to a military base on Israel’s northern border.

“If he makes such mistakes, the Lebanese citizens will pay for it, first of all. What we do in Gaza, we know how to do in Beirut,” the Israeli Defense Minister threatened.

According to him, the Israeli Air Force uses less than a tenth of its potential in the Gaza Strip. “Our pilots are sitting in the cockpit, the planes are pointing north. We have enough to do in the south, but the air force is focused on the north and its numbers are very high,” the Israeli official added.

The head of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, said on Saturday that his armed group had used new weapons and struck new targets in Israel in recent days, vowing that the southern front against its “sworn enemy” would remain active, Reuters reported.

It was the second time since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas that Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah, has appeared in public since the start of the war, talking about the fight against Israel.

The Hezbollah group, founded in 1982 by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, is the leader of an alliance of movements in the region backed by Tehran, hostile to Israel and the United States.
