
Several fire brigades were mobilized on Friday evening due to a gas leak from a car loaded with liquefied gas, part of a train located at the Saligny station, the Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) of Dobrudja said.
“There was a gas leak from a train car loaded with liquefied gas, which is located at the Saligny station. Two ASAS from the Cernavode detachment, a SMURD B2 crew and a special CBRN vehicle are involved,” ISU Dobruja said, according to Agerpres.
Rail traffic has been suspended, and road traffic in the area will also be suspended.
“The area is cordoned off for approximately 400 meters, railway traffic has been stopped, electricity has been cut off. Road traffic is also stopped,” ISU representatives said.
They said it was propane and no tanks caught fire.
Firefighters ensure the implementation of fire prevention and extinguishing measures.
