Marseille’s Ligue 1 matchday 10 match against Lyon was called off minutes before kick-off after OM fans seriously injured the away coach, who pelted and injured coach Fabio Grosso.
The French professional football league has returned with a decision on the match and announced that the match has been postponed to December 6 and the dispute will take place at a venue determined by it.
“The competition committee of the LFP has decided, on the one hand, applying article 544 of the regulation, (…) that this match will be played on Wednesday, December 6, for the first time available in the calendar of the two teams, and on the other hand, to determine the place later, where this meeting will take place, pending additional information from government authorities that will allow it to be held in optimal safety conditions for all participants and the public.” – says the official release of the Professional League from Hexagon.
