Traffic violations can happen to anyone. After all, no one is perfect, and it is human nature to make mistakes from time to time. And after all, who hasn’t been speeding after realizing they’re late for work or a meeting? Of course, this is not recommended and is even punishable by law, in addition to being potentially dangerous for you and other road users. That’s why too law enforcement watch the sides of our roads. But that doesn’t stop some people from trying their luck anyway with a very predictable outcome…

A big overshoot
And one thing can be said for sure: age means nothing and is certainly not a synonym for wisdom. Vice versa. In any case, this is evidenced by a new story that happened last Sunday, October 29. Then the gendarmes deal with it speed controllers on the A35 near Rixheim, in Alsace, when they saw an Audi R8 traveling at high speed in the direction of Switzerland-France. They then flash a sports car traveling at 228 km/h instead of the 110 km/h normally allowed on the stretch. Then the police chased after the driver, who allowed himself to be detained without objection.
License revoked!
And what was the surprise when the gendarmes discovered a young pensioner 66 years old, who did not resist during the arrest. Not surprisingly, his license was immediately revoked and his sports car impounded. Then they called a friend to come pick up the driver, who will now have to appear in court in the coming months.
