Noam Tibon, a reservist general who arrived at Kibbutz Nahal Oz on the morning of October 7 and led a rescue operation against Hamas terrorists there, including the rescue of his own son and family, is calling on Benjamin Netanyahu to resign immediately, the Times of Israel reports.

Netanyahu’s continued presence as prime minister is hurting the war against Hamas, he says, and compares the need for a change at the top to Britain replacing Neville Chamberlain with Winston Churchill to defeat the Nazis.

“On that black Sabbath,” Tibon tells Channel 12, “Hamas, a small organization, humiliated the IDF and Israel.”

“There are people who are to blame for the failures: the chief of staff has already taken responsibility, and I have no doubt that at the end of the campaign he and all those responsible for this failure in FDI will go home. The head of the Shin Bet has already taken responsibility, and I’m sure there will be a similar process,” says Tibon.

Tibon adds: “People need to feel safe – they need to be sure that we will win. I don’t think he can lead us to victory.”

He then notes that members of the Knesset must impeach Netanyahu if he does not resign. “The British replaced Chamberlain with Churchill during the Second World War,” he says. “We have to win. It’s more important than Netanyahu.”
