
On Thursday, October 19, the UEFA Executive Committee decided not to hold international matches in Israel in the near future. This decision is important for Romania’s qualifying group for Euro 2024.

“In view of the current situation in the territory of the State of Israel, on Thursday, November 19, the UEFA Executive Committee decided not to hold any international matches there until further notice.
The Israel Football Federation and European clubs Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv have asked to find other stadiums outside the country that, according to UEFA rules, can host future matches.
Among the games affected is the Euro 2024 qualifier Israel v Romania, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18 November at 21:45.
Next month, the Israeli national team will play again, on November 15, against Switzerland, the match is also considered on home soil, and on November 21 – in Andorra.
The date of the match between Kosovo and Israel, originally scheduled for October 15, but postponed until then, has not yet been announced,” the official website of the FRF says.

- The last Euro in which the Romanian national team participated was the one held in 2016 in France. The tricolors then finished last in a group that also included the host nation (1-2 with France), Switzerland (1-1) and Albania (0-1).
