Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh met with Iran’s foreign minister in Qatar on Saturday, where they discussed the Palestinian militant group’s deadly attack in Israel “and agreed to continue cooperation” to achieve the group’s goals, Hamas said in a statement cited by Reuters.

During a meeting in the Qatari capital of Doha, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian called the raid a “historic victory” that rejected Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories.

President Abbas says Hamas actions do not represent Palestinians
