Eric Johana Omondi has signed a contract with Mircea Rednik’s team

UTA Arad will spend a very difficult season in the Romanian Super League.

Mirchi Rednik’s goal is to avoid relegation, but after 11 stages, Arad players are only in 14th place with 10 points.

Despite the Euro 2024 qualifiers taking place during this period, it was a great opportunity for the Old Signers to announce the transfer of Eric Yohana Omondi, a player who has made 36 appearances and 6 goals for the Kenyan national team.

“Striker Eric Yohana Omondi arrived in Arad today and will join the team under Mircea Rednik.

Born on August 18, 1994 in Nairobi, Kenya, the 29-year-old striker began his football career in his homeland at Mahtare United. He made the move to Europe in the Swedish league, Vasalunds IF, and in northern Europe he also played for Brommapojkarna and J-Södra. Other teams that our new striker has played for are Belgian Beveren and Thai Muangthong United. In the recently concluded season, he scored ten goals and provided three decisive results in 28 matches.

He made 36 appearances for Kenya’s senior national team, scoring six goals.

Omondi will wear the number 24 jersey for the next two seasons.

We wish him congratulations and as many goals as possible for UTA!” – says the club’s official press release.
