Kindergarten workers in the 6th sector ignored a one-and-a-half-year-old girl lying on the floor with respiratory failure for several hours. The girl’s mother noticed that she had health problems when she came to take her home after the program ended, but ended up in the hospital with her. The police have opened a criminal case for negligence.
The mother of the one and a half-year-old twins reported on Facebook that her girls attended a private kindergarten in the 6th sector, and on September 22, one of them was taken from the kindergarten in a serious condition.
“Then he noticed that he was breathing rapidly and intermittently, he could not stand and could barely keep his eyes open. I arrived with her at the emergency room, where the doctors discovered that she had respiratory failure, gave her oxygen and Ventolin aerosols every 20 minutes, and admitted her to the hospital. (…) While watching the videos, I noticed that after 15:30 the child was lying on the floor horizontally, just crawling from place to place, while other children were having fun around her. During this time, 4 (FOUR) “ladies” entered the hall one by one, not to check the condition of the children, but to press the phones. (…) Approximately after 4:10 p.m., until I picked her up at 5:45 p.m., Anastasia was lying on the floor in the middle of the classroom, not moving,” the girl’s mother wrote on Facebook.
She also said that the founder of the kindergarten promised her that she would come back with her point of view, which never happened.
The girl’s parents filed a police report on October 2, News.ro reports.
“The General Directorate of the Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Police Department 20 was informed by a man that on September 22, 2023, after taking his two-year-old and five-month-old daughter from the kindergarten in Sector 6, where she is, they found that her health is serious. The investigation into the fact of official negligence was undertaken by the School Security Service under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office at the 6th District Court,” the Metropolitan Police reported.
