Coco Gauff advanced to the WTA quarterfinals in Beijing (category 1000), the US Open champion won in straight sets, 7-6(5), 6-2, against Veronika Kudermetova (16th seed).

Koko, the third favorite in Beijing, won after a game lasting one hour and 47 minutes.
