It’s no secret that fuel is particularly expensive. And it is not for nothing that the last one this summer, since July, has increased by an average of 22 cents. The sharp increase is partly due to the increase in the price per barrel, but also very high demand due to the school holidays. Not to mention the embargo on Russian imports and taxation. By the way, such taxes as TICPE and VAT are at least 60% of the price of a liter at the moment. And that is not expected to change anytime soon as the government is reluctant to make any gestures.
Due to the 30-cent discount on the price of fuel, there was a shortage of supplies at many gas stations. https://t.co/SzgziQKxfm

A slight decline
The latter, however, will offer compensation of €100 for the most modest households, but not before next year. Meanwhile, most brands that sell fuel offer it at cost. Good news for drivers, for now gasoline and diesel prices a slight decrease was also recorded. For the first time since last July, even if we shouldn’t expect a miracle. In fact, the drop is now only about 3 cents, which remains very small compared to the rise.
What changes?
Thus, diesel has decreased by 2.9 cents last week to average €1.9121 per liter according to the Ministry of Environmental Transition. During the same period, unleaded 95 E10 appeared decreased by 3.4 cents and now costs 1.9102 euros on average in the country. So, a small drop that barely compensates for the increase that the French experienced for more than a year, with the start of the war in Ukraine. It remains to be seen whether this slump will last!
