PNL mayors fear that due to the hole in the state budget, the Ministry of Finance may cut their payments for projects they are carrying out or are about to start. Several PNL MPs visited the government on Tuesday and spoke with Finance Minister Marcel Bolosh and asked him for guarantees that the payments would not be stopped, political sources told HotNews.ro.

“Various projects are ongoing or about to start, and the mayors are afraid that payments will stop. The Ministry of Finance has a large revenue deficit and is forced to minimize spending. The party fears that money will also be cut from investments, regardless of whether it is Angel Saligna’s projects or European funds, or projects that are already being implemented or are about to start,” the quoted sources explained.

According to HotNews.ro sources, at a coalition meeting earlier this week, Marcel Bolosh announced that “he has a deficit of 7.5 billion lei in revenue for September” and told political leaders that he would have to stop. all payments by the end of the year.

In this context, several PNL parliamentarians held a meeting with the Ministry of Finance, in the Government, and asked him to assure that payments for the projects of PNL mayors will not be stopped, regardless of the stage they are at.

According to HotNews.ro sources, Finance Minister Marcel Bolos promised them that he would take into account the problems raised by them and that local investments would not suffer.
