Yannick Sinner added a third title of the season to his resume, the Italian, coached (also) by Darren Cahill, won at the ATP Beijing (Category 500 tournament). After exactly two hours of intense match, Sinner won the first victory after six consecutive defeats against Daniil Medvedev (score 7-6(2), 7-6(2)).

After six straight defeats, Yannick came away with lessons learned: he learned to be patient against the Russian, always think about the next point and anticipate Daniil’s attacking moves.

The result was an impressive final with many excellent points and quality tennis. Wednesday’s match did not have a break, the difference was determined each time on a tie-break.

Yannick played the attack card, was clearly more inspired in the two tie-breaks, and Medvedev suffered his first defeat from the Italian, after six consecutive victories.
