Matt Goetz, one of the representatives of the hard-right American Trumpists, announced on Sunday that he wants to impeach the Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, after he managed to postpone the paralysis of the federal administration with the help of Democrats, according to AFP.

“I intend to file an impeachment motion against President (Kevin) McCarthy this week,” Florida Rep. Matt Goetz announced on CNN.

“I think we should move forward with a new boss who can be trusted,” he said.

This fratricidal initiative was expected.

Kevin McCarthy, elected at the cost of many compromises with Trumpists, announced on Saturday that he knows he is putting his job at risk.

“Do you know something? If I have to risk my job to protect the American people, I will,” he said.

In the last attempt to avoid the paralysis of the American administration, the resolution proposed by Kevin McCarthy was passed by the Congress just three hours before the “shutdown” with the support of the Democrats.

CONCESSION TO McCARTHY’S CHAOTIC ELECTIONS

Matt Goetz, along with other Trumpists, advocates drastic cuts in government spending.

On Sunday, he accused Kevin McCarthy of “lying to conservatives in the House of Representatives.”

“The one thing everyone has in common is that nobody trusts Kevin McCarthy,” Matt Getz thundered.

“Kevin McCarthy’s goal was to make a series of contradictory promises to delay (…) and ultimately undermine spending guarantees,” he charged.

Kevin McCarthy was elected Speaker of the House in the 15th round of voting in January after Trumpists finally agreed to back him in exchange for some concessions, including restoring the ability of individual lawmakers to call a vote to impeach the speaker.
