On Thursday evening, a car driven by a woman ran into a group of children on the sidewalk, four of them were injured. The accident happened in the city of Getaia in Timiș County.

The mayor of Gataia, Raul Kozarov, told News.ro that the car, driven by a woman aged about 40 years old, ran onto the sidewalk where there were several children between the ages of 7 and 10. He noted that the car did not exceed the speed limit.

Four of them, aged between 7 and 10, were injured, writes Opinia Timișoara. Several crews of the SMURD and traffic police, as well as firefighters and police, worked at the scene of the accident.

According to a local newspaper, the woman lost control of the steering wheel while trying to avoid another child on a bicycle in a crosswalk and ended up on the sidewalk where other children were sitting on the steps of the house.
