The trend toward tougher traffic laws since the May 2 crash is becoming increasingly apparent as a number of bills seek to increase fines or penalties for reckless drivers. The latest projects in this series are aimed at introducing the possibility of permanent suspension of driving licenses, as well as increasing prison terms for manslaughter.
These are the two projects initiated by MP Laurenciu Leoreanu, who also have the signatures of support from more than 30 other PNL MPs, led by the group’s leader Gabriel Andronake, meaning that the two initiatives got the party’s turn to advance in parliament.
