Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was charged with disobeying a police order on Friday, less than two months after she was convicted and fined for the same offence, Reuters reported.

On July 24, a Swedish court fined 20-year-old Thunberg 1,500 Swedish kroner ($134) for not leaving a protest on police orders. Immediately after the verdict, Thunberg and other activists from the environmental group Reclaim the Future blocked the road for oil trucks in the port of Malmö and were again forcibly removed by police.

“The demonstration was not authorized and led to the blocking of traffic. The woman refused to obey the police order to leave the place,” the prosecutor’s statement said.

Thunberg, who has become the face of young climate activists around the world after weekly protests outside the Swedish parliament, could face a harsher sentence if she is convicted a second time. Failure to comply with a police order carries a maximum penalty of up to six months in prison.

The second trial is scheduled for September 27, the BBC reports.
